I would recommend having your users export their Groupwise contacts as a single vcf so that they can be imported easily if there is a problem. The Groupwise database structure changed in GW8HP2 (this was when they dropped intellisync for mobile devices and moved to active sync) and as a result any tools (ie Quest) that weren't rewritten have issues, the most common one is that Groupwise contacts do not import into Outlook contacts correctly and wind up being created in a folder nested within the Outlook contacts (you can actually do this with OWA, but not Outlook). Since you're moving from Groupwise to Exchange I'm going to assume that you're planning to use a migration tool so you might want to check a few things as far as compatibility.
